Larry Charbonneau

Larry was born in Kansas but moved to Lincoln at a young age.  Eventually graduating from the University of Nebraska Lincoln with a BA in Music Performance and a BA in Mathematics.  After one year working for the Nebraska Math and Science Coalition, he went to work for Ameritas as a web development specialist.
Outside of diving, Larrys hobbies include science fiction (Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon 5), college football (especially the Huskers), computers, photography, music, bowling, racquetball, travel, unsolved mysteries (JFK assassination, UFOs, bigfoot and other unknown creatures), and learning.about anything really.
His first taste of scuba diving was in 2001 off of Fajardo, Puerto Rico.  He began the certification course the weekend after he got home.  Larry enjoys diving at Bull Shoals in MO/AR and in the Florida Keys but finds it hard to define best dives.  He likes wrecks and underwater photography, but would dive just about anywhere if given the chance.  (Except, perhaps, that 96 degree hot spring he dove in 2014).
Larry would love to dive anywhere he hasn’t already been diving, or anywhere he has, but his longest standing wish is to dive Bimini in the Bahamas, cenotes in Mexico, the Red Sea and maybe to take a trip with the Roddenberry Dive Team.  He also looks forward to the day he and his wife can take their son diving with them.
